In one line
Scour the multiverse, destroying enemies and collecting cogs to upgrade your weapons and abilities. Unlock new universes and technologies as you get stronger, and chase the high score. Online leaderboards are coming.
The idea
The omniverse is woven from a fabric of sub-quantum golden cogs, and each cog holds an infinite set of omnipotent observers. That is the secret framework of the multiverse. Cog Wars is an arcade game played on top of that framework, and an art project exploring it, built in the Unity engine by AlienMachine.ai. More in the Cogverse.
Features
- Twin-stick arcade combat with keyboard and mouse or a gamepad
- Five universes, each with its own physics, enemies and guardian boss (bosses in development)
- Five weapons, with cog-powered weapon upgrades coming soon
- Five cogs of power that bend gravity, time and space, each with three upgrade tiers
- A score-chasing arcade loop, with online leaderboards against other players and friends planned
- An in-game Codex that reveals the lore as you play (in development)
