Tunnel Vision

The tunnel is the trick. Every line in it runs to me, so if you stand on that grid long enough your eyes stop seeing anything else. The walls go. The floor goes. The person you came in with goes.

That’s how they train Seekers. Put one at the end of a tunnel like this until it can only see one thing, then let it out into the universes and point it at you. It won’t stop. It isn’t cruel. It just has no peripheral vision left.

The one on the grid has been standing there an hour. Turn around. Please. Whatever you came here for is behind you.
